The South African Social Security Agency SASSA has recently made announcements about the grant payment dates for November 2024. The grant payment dates are confirmed after the announcement made on the office official level.
The organisation has been working since years and is trying it’s best to disburse the payments smoothly and efficiently. The grant holders simply have to visit the bank if they have linked their bank account for grant payments or the nearest pay points to receive their payments on the selected date.

SASSA Payment Schedule For November 2024
If you have applied for a SASSA grant and your application has been accepted, and now you are waiting for your November grant payment, you can visit the nearest pay point or your bank directly on the following payment date.
Remember, the payment dates vary according to the type of grant you are eligible for.
- If you have to receive an old age payment or pensioner grant, you can receive the payment on 5th November 2024, Tuesday.
- If you are a disability grant holder, you can receive your disability SASSA grant on 6th November, Wednesday.

Where To Receive Your Payment?
SASSA not only has announced the grant payment dates but also has told the location from where you can receive your payments. If you have selected the method of receiving your grant payment directly in your bank account, you simply have to visit your bank branch to receive your grant payment.
Alternatively, the grant holders can also visit the nearest supermarket like, Checkers, Shoprite or Pick n Pay to receive their grant payments.
Is There Any Increment In Grant Payment Of SASSA Grant?
SASSA has recently made an increment in its grant payments. If you are a SASSA beneficiary, from now onwards you will receive more grants as compared to the previous amount. The decision was made in October and was effective from October 2024.
- The Old Age Pension was increased from R 2180 to R 2190 for the recipients who are under 75 years of age.
- Whereas those who are above the age of 75, can receive their grant payments with an increase of R 10. It was previously R 2200 and now it is R 2210 full.
- The Disability Grant is also increased with an addition of R 10 and is now R 2190 in total.
- The Care Dependency grant is also raised by R 10 and has now become R 2190.
- Moreover, the War Veteran Grant is also increased from R 2190 to R 2200 with an addition of R 10 in it.
Although R10 addition in grant payments seems smaller, it reflects the concerns of SASSA and that the SASSA is making its efforts in providing the best possible to the beneficiaries. It also reflects that the organisation is adjusting the support within limited budget allocation.
Since the organisation has to manage both economic challenges and budget constraints and have to make sure that every beneficiary can meet the basic needs of life, this R10 increment in the payments of SASSA beneficiaries is better than no increment at all!
Who May Not Receive Grant Payment?
Well, will every applicant receive SASSA payment for November?
No it’s not necessary that every applicant receive payment instead only those applicants whose application is accepted will receive SASSA payments. Here is the description of the applicants who might not receive their payments for this month of November!
Those applicants who have provided incorrect information in their application or those applicants who have missings in their application. If their is something not mentioned in the application in any column, the applicant will not receive their payments in November or until the information is cleared.
Similarly, those applicants who are not eligible for the grant or those who are not meeting the particular eligibility criteria to get the grant will not receive the grant in November.
In case there is any delay in verification procedures for the financial or personal information of applicant, you will not receive the payment until the verification is complete.
Moreover, those applicants who have not attached the required documents or their documents are still pending for further review will not receive their SASSA payment for the current month.
Plus the applicants with incomplete banking details and other such issues will not receive any grant payments.
Remember, SASSA is also taking steps to ensure that the distribution of grants happen smoothly and this is why the payments are distributed over several days. This strategy is only implemented to minimise long queues and crowding that affects particularly the elderly, disabled and sick people, the most!
